“I really want to fight Kambosos. This fight will sell better than Kambosos' fight with any other opponent. I would have won this fight, probably knocked out George by the end of the seventh round. I hope he wants this fight. It makes sense to him, also because I'm returning after a long break and injury," Garcia said.

WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney's promoter, Eddie Hearn, revealed in January that he had a bid for Haney's unification bout against Kambosos Jr. in the Middle East. At the moment, however, there are no details about this, and Kambosos himself, who sensationally overthrew Teofimo Lopez from the throne in November last year, is preparing a rather big May fight in his homeland - in Australia, and it is still difficult to say whether his duel with Ryan Garcia in the coming months.

In January last year, 23-year-old Garcia won ahead of schedule against former Olympic champion Luke Campbell. Ryan announced in April that he was taking a break from boxing due to mental health issues. He was scheduled to return and face Joseph Diaz in November but suffered an injury to his right wrist.
