Cambosos beat Lopez by split decision

George Cambosos Jr. (20-0, 10 KOs) won a sensational split decision victory over Teofimo Lopez (16-1 12 KOs) and took the WBA, IBF, WBO and WBC lightweight titles from him in the main match of the night of boxing in Madison -Square Garden in New York.

Kambosos was able to send Lopez to the ring floor with a right hand at the end of the first round and mostly outbid Lopez until the ninth round, which Lopez clearly won. Lopez knocked Kambosos down in the tenth round, but Kambosos was able to get up and continue the fight. Kamposos recovered in the eleventh round and ended up winning twice 115-111 and 114-113 for Lopez.
