Former Bellator middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko urged not to take seriously Sergei Kharitonov's statements that Timothy Johnson intentionally lost his fight to Fedor Emelianenko.

Fedor knocked out Johnson in the first round at the Bellator tournament in Moscow on October 23.

"It didn't seem to me that Johnson succumbed to Emelianenko, nonsense. Why would Timothy do that? I don't take what Kharitonov says seriously at all lately. Neither do a lot of people. Sergey says a lot of unnecessary things. Not only does he talk, he does nothing at all. Why should I take him seriously? First, let him learn to do what he's talking about. Only then will everyone begin to take him seriously. Kharitonov competes at the same weight with Fedor. Well, maybe they'll fight, and he'll loose," Shlemenko said
