Triller Fight Club has relinquished the rights to arrange a four belt lightweight fight of Teofimo Lopez (16-0, 12 KO) and George Kambosos (19-0, 1 KO). In this situation, the rights to organize this duel should go to Eddie Hearn.
In February, Triller won the promotional bidding with a $6 million bid. The owners of the organization were to pay the IBF $1.2 million in a non-refundable deposit. The date of the duel has changed several times. Recently, Triller tried to move the fight from Oct. 4 to Oct. 16, but Kambosos refused to agree to a new date for the event.
It's unknown if Hearn still wants to arrange a fight of the American and the Australian. The Brit's bid was the second highest in February's bid.
Triller will take place on October 16, but without Lopez-Kambosos bout. The previously announced undercard includes a welterweight bout of Daniel Gonzalez (20-2-1, 7 KOs) of US and Russian prospect Petros Ananyan (15-2-2, 7 KOs), who resides in the United States. Triller Fight Club chief operating officer Thorsten Meyer confirmed that popular American Cletus Seldin will also be added to the evening. The 35-year-old Seldin (25-1, 21KOs) will face Brazilian William Silva (28-3, 16KOs) in what will likely be the main event of the undercard.
