Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley

Jake Paul: "I don't know if Woodley really understands how good I am. Has he been able to digest it? I think he still has some kind of mental blockage. He's thinking, "This guy is a blogger, can this fight be tough?" He says he's training hard, but he still hears somewhere in his head, "I fought Kamaru Usman, I fought Gilbert Burns. Fighting Jake Paul is nothing." I saw a video of Woodley working in the gym with Floyd Mayweather. Floyd tells him I'm not a real fighter. The fact that they don't appreciate me will be their biggest mistake I'll expose!"

Tyrone Woodley: "I'm taking this meeting seriously. Instead of calling and asking me about it, a lot of people are publicly asking if I'm going to lose this fight to earn it, it's a real fight, it's not a show... I don't understand why people think that a fighter like me, known for my willingness to stand up, would let someone buy it for a fake fight. To me, that kind of thinking, that kind of talk is just insulting. I will show everyone what a warrior really means."

Paul has already defeated former UFC, Bellator and ONE fighter Ben Askren by first-round knockout in April at the Triller Fight Club tournament in Atlanta in the pro ring. According to Paul and several other sources, Paul and Askren's fight was bought by at least 1.3 million people, generating $65 million in revenue. And that's only a fraction of the total revenue, because the net profit from this event is hard to estimate. One thing is for sure, the Paul brothers are changing the professional boxing market.

In June, we saw Jake's brother Logan Paul have an exhibition fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr, one of the best boxers of all time. The bout went the full distance, with Floyd dominating the ring, but he was never able to knock out the blogger.

Back to the purely athletic aspects of Jake's fights: 39-year-old's rival 24-year-old blogger Tyron Woodley lost his championship title in March 2019, losing on points to Kamaru Usman. He then lost three straight fights before ending his UFC appearances.

Also on the night in Cleveland, in addition to the main event, we will see fights of Daniel Dubois vs Joe Cusumano, Amanda Serrano vs Yamileth Mercado, Ivan Baranchik vs Montana Love and Tommy Fury vs Anthony Taylor, among others.
