Bob Arum reported that Deontay Wilder (42-1-1, 41 KOs) and Tyson Fury (30-0-1, 24 KOs) have already received two doses of the coronavirus vaccine. Thus, according to Arum, the fighters protected themselves from the possible postponement of their third fight.

“I received information from both teams that boxers and their coaches are fully vaccinated. I urge all participants to do this, this eliminates the risk of postponing the fight," the American promoter said, hinting at the recent postponement of the fight of Teofimo Lopez and George Kambosos. According to Arum, neither Lopez nor Kambosos have received a single dose of the vaccine so far.

“Guys must be responsible. After all, it is enough for only one person to pass a positive result, and because of this, you will have to cancel the entire event. The more boxers are vaccinated, the more stable the boxing calendar will be,” Arum said.

Wilder vs Fury fight for the WBC heavyweight title will take place on July 24 in Las Vegas. For the American, this will be a return to the ring after his first professional defeat.
