IBF Cruiserweight Champion Mairis Briedis (27-1, 19 KOs) is challenging Jake Paul (3-0, 3 KOs) for his titles. The Latvian suggests that if the American loses, he will have to end his career as a professional boxer.

“Hi Jake, we would like to organize your fight against Briedis for the IBF and The Ring titles. Our only condition is the end of your boxing career if you lose. Do you agree?" one of the promoters of Briedis Kalle Sauerland wrote on social networks.

Paul, 24, made his professional boxing debut last January. He spent his last fight in April, knocking out Ben Askren. All of his performances so far have been in the cruiserweight limit.

Briedis was looking to move to heavyweights this year, but he will likely have at least one more cruiserweight fight ahead of him. The Latvian is seriously counting on a unifying meeting with Lawrence Okolie.
