Firat Arslan (48-9-3, 32 KOs) turned 50 in September but still has no plans of retirement. On Saturday at a boxing night in Germany, the former world cruiserweight champion knocked out former world title challenger Gusmir Perdomo (26-10, 17 KOs) in the third round. The boxing event was held without fans.
The 43-year-old Venezuelan boxer started well, worked at a good pace and was more active than his opponent. However, Arslan's punches were stronger and made a greater impression on his opponent.
The fight ended after Arslan landed a punch to the body. For the German, it was a return to the ring after last year's defeat to Kevin Lerena.
