Former UFC two-weight champion George St-Pierre admitted that a fight with reigning welterweight title holder Kamaru Usman does not motivate him. The Nigerian had previously stated that he would be happy to share the octagon with the legend of his division.

“Going back and spending three months of my life in training camp to defeat Kamaru Usman doesn't motivate me. I don't think there is anything right now that could make me come back. I do not think so.

"Try to put yourself in my shoes. Firstly, to return and fight Usman I would literally have to leave my country. I would have to organize a training camp somewhere, bring my coaches there and hire sparring partners. But I don't want to do this when I leave my home. I am healthy and rich. I am not attracted to the idea of wasting three months of my life and being stressed for the fight with Usman," the Canadian said on The Good Show.

Saint-Pierre announced his retirement in February 2018.
