Terence Crawford to leave Top Rank?

Tomorrow at boxing night in Las Vegas, Terence Crawford (36-0, 17 KOs) will defend his WBO welterweight belt against Kell Brook (39-2, 27 KOs). It is possible that Saturday's performance will be one of his last - if not the last - under the banner of Top Rank promotion.

For a long time there were rumors about the possible departure of the undefeated American from Bob Arum's stable. Today, The Athletic's Mike Coppinger revealed that Crawford's attorney sent a formal letter to Top Rank stating that his client was disappointed by the lack of big fights.

According to Coppinger, the WBO champion's contract expires in October 2021. It is very likely that after that, Crawford will seek his fortune in the PBC, which, among others, has WBC and IBF champion Errol Spence Jr.
