Frampton and Conlan win in Belfast

Carl Frampton (28-2, 16 KOs) defeated Darren Trainor (16-4, 7 KOs) via TKO in Round 7 in the main event of the evening in Belfast. The former world champion in two weight categories had his second fight since signing a contract with the Top Rank promotion.

Frampton, 33, is now due to perform in the US in November. His opponent will be WBO featherweight champion Jamel Herring, who will face Jonathon Oquendo in September.

At the same evening, Michael Conlan (14-0, 8 KOs) scored another victory as a pro. The 26-year-old Irishman defeated Sophian Takush (35-5-1, 13 KOs) via TKO in the tenth round.
