Shakur Stevenson (14-0, 8 KOs) officially vacated his WBO featherweight belt and moved to the super featherweight. The 22-year-old American fought for the last time in June when he defeated Felix Caraballo by technical knockout. Stevenson earned 400 thousand dollars for this performance.

Stevenson in the new weight category will automatically become the official contender for the championship belt, owned by Jamel Herring. The meeting of these boxers may happen this year.

Mexican Emanuel Navarrete, who recently left the super bantamweight belt vacant, will now fight for the featherweight title. The Irishman Michael Conlan may become his rival.
