Robert Helenius (30-3, 19 KOs) at one point was considered a rising star in heavyweight. Then the Finn’s career came to not the best times, but thanks to the victory over Adam Kownacki, the two-meter Nordic Nightmare is back in the game.

When Helenius successfully dealt with former champions - Lamon Brewster, Sergey Lyakhovich and Samuel Peter, as well as several other interesting opponents, everyone was waiting for his fight with one of the Klitschko brothers. Then came injuries, a dubious battle with Chisora and, finally, a war in court with the Sauerland Events. Four years ago, Helenius earned her first defeat.

When Robert was on his peak, he wanted to cross gloves with Wladimir Klitschko. However, the Ukrainian did not want this. At least, Helenius himself thinks so.

“I really wanted to fight Klitschko, but on the other hand I heard that he was not going to. I do not know why. But we were close to this meeting, because one of the organizations [WBO] put me on first place in its rankings. I really wanted to fight Wladimir,” said two-time European champion, who is now separated from a meeting with Anthony Joshua (23-1, 21 KOs) by only one victory.

“Joshua and I would make a good show. On one hand there's tactics, on the other there're fireworks and heavy blows. It will be a good fight for me,” Helenius added.
