Sergey Kovalev (34-4-1, 29 KOs) announced that he would not finish his career after Saturday's defeat to Saul Alvarez. 34-year old Russian plans a few weeks of rest and wants to return to the ring next spring.

Three-time world champion in the light heavyweight division before the fight with Canelo has signed a contract with DAZN platform, which will show two of his next professional performances and pay for each of them at least one million dollars. Dmitry Bivol (17-0, 11 KO), who is the current WBA champion, is also performs on DAZN.

Yet 28-year-old Bivol has no long-term contract with the streaming platform, but the possibility of confrontation with Kovalev could lead to the signing of such a contract. Bivol last fought Lenin Castillo. This year, the Russians had two fights.
