The bout was surprisingly hard for Spence who began the fight well and won the first two rounds, not allowing his opponent to spread wings, but with a third round Porter began to dictate the pace of the fight and went forward. Spence defended himself from the most of attacks of his opponent, but some of them still come to goal.
Porter was more active, while Spence tried to shoot down fight rhythm and landed power punches. In the eleventh round Porter was in knockdown after the left hook. In the last two round Spence forced his opponent to defend himself and got victory on the judges scores.
For 29-year-old Spence, who in March defeated Mikey Garcia, it was the hardest fight in pro ranks. Porter lost for the first time in three years.
