On November 2 or 9 in Las Vegas Saul Alvarez (52-1-2, 35 KOs) may fight WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (34-3-1, 29 KOs). The date of return to the ring of the Mexican has been postponed several times, but Canelo has already returned to the gym and began preparations for his November performance.

Alvarez, who was initially to fight in September, and then in October, wants to become the world champion in his fourth weight category. In addition, the Mexican won championships in the super welterweight, middleweight and super middleweight categories.

Kovalev knocked out Anthony Yarde in the eleventh round on August 24 in Chelyabinsk, Russia. In the coming days, the camps of Canelo and Krusher will start talks. If an agreement is reached, the Russian will have a short vacation and a quick return to training.

Promoters of Kovalev and Alvarez have been talking about the fight for a long time. Until now, the Russian was not satisfied with the financial offer that was presented to him. Unofficially, it is said that Kovalev rejected the $6 million bid, demanding twice as much.
