Gvozdyk vs Ngumbu. Full fight video

Oleksandr Gvozdyk (17-0, 14 KOs) won by the technical knockout in the fifth round over Doudou Ngumbu (38-8, 14 KOs) in the main event at the boxing evening organized in Philadelphia. In this way the Ukrainian defended his WBC light heavyweight title.

31-year-old Gvozdyk pushed his opponent away from the first bell. Ngumbu was out of fight, but the Ukrainian controlled the pace and struck with strong right hand.

The duel ended in the fifth round due to Ngumbu’s calf injury. The Frenchman probably torn the muscle and was unable to stand on his leg. For Gvozdyk, it was the first defense of the belt he won last December.
