The Brazilian UFC middleweight veteran Jacare Souza is ready to hang up his gloves, if he doesn’t get a title chance in the event of a victory over Yoel Romero.
“I am waiting for my time and my chance. If the UFC does not provide me with this opportunity, then I will focus on opening a jujutsu gym and, probably, will end my career. I have no problems with retirement, my body is in perfect shape. I left jiu-jitsu when I was at the top. I have to win this fight, and then I will wait for the UFC’s decision,” said Jacare.
Jacare and Romero will have a rematch on April 27 at UFC on ESPN. The first meeting of these fighters took place in December 2015 - the victory was given by split decision to the Cuban.
