Hearn: Perhaps, after May 18, no one wants to fight Usyk

British promoter Eddie Hearn in his last interview said that for the heavyweight debut of the undisputed cruiserweight champion the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (16-0, 12 KO) two opponents are being discussed: the Russian Alexander Povetkin (34-2, 24 KOs) and Cameroonian Carlos Takam (36-5-1, 28 KOs). Also, the promoter said that the result of the negotiations is expected this week. As previously reported, Povetkin avoids a meeting with Usyk, and the Cameroonian may become a rival to the Ukrainian.

- Is there any news about the next fight of Usyk?

- Fight with Povetkin is possible, the duel with Takam is also discussed. We discuss a possible battle with Povetkin, or a battle with Takam, and then with Povetkin. The result we will find out this week.

- Obviously, Usyk is one of the most talented boxers. Is it difficult for him to organize the first fight in heavyweights?

- Perhaps people will think that this is the best time to fight him. And maybe after May 18, no one will want to fight him. We'll see, but I think Usyk will be a big star in heavyweights.
