Cuban heavyweight Louis Ortiz (31-1, 26 KOs) scored a unanimous decision over Christian Hammer (24-5, 14 KOs) at the boxing evening in Brooklyn, New York. After ten rounds, the judges gave it in favor of the former title contender: 100-90 and 99-91 twice.
39-year-old Ortiz out boxed his opponent from the first round, who tried to resist, but most his actions were inaccurate. Despite the enormous advantage of a boxer from Cuba, the fight went the full distance. Ortiz gained the third victory after last year’s knockout defeat to the WBC champion Deontay Wilder.
