Rob Brant (25-1, 17 KOs) defeated Khasan Baysangurov (17-1, 7 KOs) by technical knockout in the eleventh round and defended his title of “regular” WBA middleweight champion. The bout was the main event of the evening, organized in Hinckley, Minnesota, by Top Rank.

From the very beginning Brant seized the advantage and in the second round sent Baysangurov to the floor. In the eleventh Brant was able to once again force his opponent to hit the canvas, and then with a few more accurate punches he got the referee to the stoppage.

For Brant, this was the first successful defense of the title he won in October. Baysangurov earned his first defeat in pro career.
