Khasan Baysangurov to challenge WBA Regular title in battle with Rob Brunt

WBA regular middleweight champion Rob Brunt (24-1, 16 KOs) will hold the first title defense on February 15, 2019. His opponent will be 21-year-old Khasan Baysangurov (17-0, 7 KOs). Brant vs Baysangurov will headline the professional boxing event in Hinckley, Minnesota, where Brant has had 11 fights.

Rob Brant won the world title on October 20 last year, when he defeated Ryota Murata, taking away his WBA regular belt. As for Baysangurov, Khasan had a previous bout in October 2018, when he beat Paul Velenzuela by unanimous decision. Khasan is the younger brother of former junior middleweight world titlist Zaurbek Baysangurov (29-1, 21 KOs), who retired in 2014. For Khasan this fight will be the first in the United States. In most cases, he performed on the territory of Ukraine.
