Stevenson is in stable condition

The condition of the former world light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson (29-2-1, 24 KOs) has improved. The Canadian remains in the hospital in the intensive care unit after being defeated on Saturday by knockout at the hands of Oleksandr Gvozdyk.

On Saturday, Stevenson's condition was called critical. Now the condition of the boxer is assessed as stable. The 41-year-old boxer was put in a medically induced coma.

Stevenson lost to Gvozdyk by knockout, and left the ring on a stretcher. However, the doctor who examined Adonis after the fight did not find serious injuries. Stevenson felt worse when he got out of the shower after the fight. The boxer started complaining of dizziness.

Stevenson were immediately taken to the hospital. In the ambulance, Stevenson lost consciousness, and his condition began to deteriorate rapidly.
