Gvozdyk knocks Stevenson out, becomes the new world champion

In the main event of the evening in Canadian Quebec, Alexander Gvozdyk (16-0, 13 KOs) knocked out in the 11th round Adonis Stevenson (29-2-1, 24 KO) and took away his WBC light heavyweight title. Stephenson was knocked down in the third round, but the referee ruled it as a slip. In the tenth round, Stevenson was able to visibly hurt Gvozdyk, which had to desperately clinch to survive. However, in the next round, the Ukrainian was able to send the opponent to the floor and the referee waved it off. The time was 2:49.
