The WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (40-0-1, 39 KOs) and former champion Tyson Fury (27-0-1, 19 KOs) battled to a draw at the Staples Center in Los Angeles before 17,698 spectators. The scores were: 115-111 Wilder, 114-110 Fury and 113-113.

The first eight rounds of the match was like meeting Fury with Wladimir Klitschko three years ago. Wilder could not adapt to Fury's defense, until finally, in the ninth round, Wilder was able to knock the Brit down. Fury boxed the tenth and eleventh rounds well, but Wilder recorded a knockdown in the twelfth round again.

"I fell twice, but I still think that I won the fight," Fury said after the fight.

“Today we gave the fans a great fight. I am ready to do it again,” said Wilder, who, according to some data, will earn about $14 million in 12 rounds. Fury purse will be $10 million.
