Derevyanchenko gets nearly half a million for Jacobs fight

On October 27 Daniel Jacobs got split decision over Sergiy Derevyanchenko and became the IBF world middleweight champion. After 12 rounds, one of the judges gave the victory to Derevyanchenko 114:113, and the other two gave it to Daniel Jacobs - 115:112.

For the victory over the Ukrainian 31-year-old Jacobs will receive about 1.6 million dollars. His guaranteed fee was $1 million, but taking into account payments by HBO, the total amount will reach 1.6 million.

The official purse of Derevyanchenko was 462.5 thousand dollars. The total earnings of the Ukrainian boxer has not been disclosed.
