Mayweather vs Nurmagomedov may land in Moscow in 2019

The fight between UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and Floyd Mayweather may be staged at the Moscow Luzhniki Stadium in 2019. This was informed by the Secretary General of the Russian Boxing Federation Umar Kremlev.

Earlier, Mayweather said he was ready to fight Nurmagomedov by the rules of boxing. On Tuesday Nurmagomedov on his Instagram page reported that he had discussed with the Russian Boxing Federation the possible conduct of a fight at the Luzhniki stadium.

“We had a meeting with Khabib, the Russian Boxing Federation offered him to fight Mayweather in 2019 at Luzhniki,” Kremlev said. “We can make paid broadcasts and everything else, and beat the record for the numbers of views in boxing. Moreover, I am sure that Khabib can beat Mayweather. We have made our offer, Khabib will think and we will meet again in the future."

On October 7 Nurmagomedov defeated the former UFC champion in two weight categories Conor McGregor.
