Former cruiserweight champion Grigory Drozd believes that for Alexander Povetkin (34-1, 24 KOs) the fight against Anthony Joshua (21-0, 20 KOs) is the most important in his career, and he has great chances in it to success.

"I would have started even earlier. If a year ago an average boxing fan was asked if Alexander Povetkin would box for a world title, 10 out of 10 would say that he did not. Alexander was in a state of insane pressure, these scandals... The pressure, mainly of the Western press was filthy. And many said that Povetkin, most likely, will end his career. And in the end, on September 22 Alexander will fight for the championship belts.

“This event itself is fantastic. Probably, the upcoming fight has even more status than a fight with Wladimir Klitschko. This is the most important battle in his career, and, in my opinion, Alexander has a very good chance of success. Anthony Joshua does not like to fight small heavyweights. Povetkin in size is inferior to Joshua, but he is maneuverable and concentrated, with a very hard punch. I believe and see very good chances for Alexander to prove himself and win titles."
