Gennady Golovkin (38-0-1, 34 KO) and Saul Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KOs) passed the mandatory 30 days weigh-in according to WBC rules before their rematch on September 15 in Las Vegas. The fight will take place in the middleweight category, and both boxers are already close to the weight limit.

One month before the fight, Golovkin weighs 168.3 pounds, Canelo – 167.4 pounds. In accordance with the rules of the World Boxing Council, opponents entering the title bouts should control their weight in advance, and not lose large amounts of excess weight at the last minute.

A month before the battle, GGG and Canelo could weigh a maximum of 176 pounds.
