Irish MMA fighter Conor McGregor took first place in the updated ranking of the lightweights of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The 30-year-old Irishman, who has not fought in the UFC since November 2016, removed from the first position the American Tony Ferguson, who dropped to second place. The third in the list of the best lightweights of the organization is Dustin Poirier.
The UFC lightweight champion is Khabib Nurmagomedov of Russia. Due to changes in the rating, McGregor became the main contender for the title. Earlier in the media there was information that the fight Nurmagomedov - McGregor can be announced at a press conference this coming Friday. As previously reported, the bout may take place on October 6 in Las Vegas.
