The Secretary-General of the Russian Boxing Federation Umar Kremlev said that for the fight between the Ukrainian Alexander Usyk and the Russian Murat Gassiev they sold tickets worth more than 200 million rubles ($3.2 million) in Moscow.
On Saturday night at the Moscow Olympic Sports Complex Murat Gassiev lost to Alexander Usyk. Usyk became the undisputed cruiseweight champion, and also won the Mohammed Ali Trophy.
"Murat's fight became a box office. Revenue for tickets exceeded 200 million rubles. And this is in view of the fact that we did not sell 10,000 tickets (out of 30,000), but gave them to charity," said Kremlev.
