Famous American trainer Teddy Atlas shared his opinion on the potential fight of the absolute world champion in the heavyweight division Oleksandr Usyk against Moses Itauma.
“I would wait with the fight against Usyk. I know that Turki Al Sheikh is talking about this, and perhaps everything will come to that, but for me, if I were with Moses, I would say: let him have one or two more fights before climbing to the top of Everest. Let him conquer a few more peaks, and then we will be ready for the main event.
I don’t want to see a fight with Usyk. And I’m very honest about why. I want Oleksandr to leave beautifully into the sunset. I’m not saying he can’t beat him. I will never speak against Usyk in a fight with someone else — he is that special. But in my opinion, at this stage of his career, after his next fight, let him leave into the sunset,” said Atlas.
