Russian veteran of the UFC heavyweight division Aleksey Oleynik shared his opinion about his closest rival New Zealander Mark Hunt. Oleynik has already signed a contract to fight on September 15 in Moscow, but the official announcement from the organization was not made yet.

"Yes, I signed the contract. I already signed a contract to fight Werdum, so I do not want to talk about the other fight until the UFC officially publishes the poster and so on. Yes, I also heard rumors that it was Mark Hunt. I think that the UFC will make an official announcement soon and we will find out everything.

“For me Mark Hunt is the most awkward contender in the division. Stylistically, morally, he has such a body constitution that it will be simply unreal for me, a fighter, to work with him. Velasquez and Hunt are the most difficult rivals.

“I cannot say that Werdum is simpler, but at least I assumed that you can do with him in a fight. With him I would have more opportunities in terms of striking and wrestling techniques. Hunt is a huge cabinet with a cannon blow, a fight with him will be very difficult," said Oleynik.
