Former Bellator middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko of Russia believes that the Dutch MMA fighter Gegard Mousasi, who won the championship belt recently, had no point to go for the second battle with him.

"Before my title fight I stated that the real champion was determined in our fight, which eventually turned out. In Bellator at the moment in the 84 kilos there’s no stronger than me, nobody. I was sure that he would become a champion, and so easily and quickly. I stated about the desire to make an instant rematch with him, but it seems to me that Mousasi will not come out to this fight.

“I watched his fights, and he always had bruises. And in the battle with me, he was seriously injured. Like a scar on the heart, you can say. I think that no one wants to be beaten. I am confident that he will choose easier opponents for now. Now he came out, got the title, he's doing well. Why should he fight me, a man who can beat him?" asked Shlemenko.

Last October Mousasi scored close point victory over Shlemenko in a very competitive fight.
