Former world champion Amir Khan from the UK said that he would like to have an interim fight in September, and then meet his compatriot Kell Brook to "shut his mouth." In September, Khan would like to fight at the same card with Brook and would like to see Adrien Brouner as his opponent. Last month, Khan scored a quick victory over Phil Lo Greco in the first round after two and a half years of layoff.
"I would like to fight in September, and then return for a big battle," Khan said. "I had a good rest. I did not go into the ring for two years, and I was able to return as much as I wanted. Now it's time to organize a new fight for me."
"The fight against Brook is quite possible. Why not? I'm more famous, and I sell more tickets than Brook. I'm number one, so let's see. Does Eddie Hearn want this? We could fight with Brook at one evening. And then we could meet so that I would forever shut his mouth up. Well, in September I would like a well-known opponent. For example, Broner. Or Jesse Vargas. I will gladly give him a lesson. He's not at my level, I would destroy him," added Khan.
