American UFC super lightweight Dustin Poirier stressed that he is only interested in a fight against the champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and does not intend to take rematches for his past defeats.
"I want to fight for gold. I'm not chasing rematches with McGregor or Alvarez, this is not my goal. My main goal is to become a world champion, earn money and say: "I did it."
"I just want to go to bed with my belt and tell my wife: "I did it." In 2006, I did not have a car and my wife took me to the weigh-in. We slept with her in cheap motels, and the next day I fought. I just want to say, "I did it."
Yesterday Poirier knocked out Justin Gaethje.
