Joshua defeats Parker on points (video)

Unbeaten Anthony Joshua (21-0, 20 KOs) got a unanimous decision over Joseph Parker (24-1, 18 KOs) in Cardiff, Wales, bringing together WBA, IBF, IBO and WBO heavyweight titles in his hands.

The beginning of the fight was pretty competitive, but by the second round Joshua had taken the initiative, confidently winning by round. Parker moved a lot and tried to rise the pace in the seventh round, attacking with sweeping hooks, but he didn't managed to surprise his opponent.

Before the final rounds, Parker got a cut on his left eye, but this did not stop the New Zealander from standing up to the final bell with honor. Joshua for the first time in his pro career spent in the ring all the distance and won by decision of the judges (119-109, 118-110, 118-110).
