McGregor supports Edgar

UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor expressed support for the veteran Frankie Edgar after a crushing defeat in a fight against Brian Ortega.

"Throughout his career Frankie Edgar deserved that today's fight was against me. My respect, Frankie. Love and respect, as always. A true fighter among the fighters," wrote the Irishman on his Twitter.

Earlier McGregor said that he was ready to replace the injured Max Holloway and meet Edgar in today's tournament.
