Russian UFC lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov discussed a potentially possible fight with the champion in his weight category the Irishman Conor McGregor at a press conference after UFC 219.
"Any fighter can lose. All the great fighters lost. When I enter the octagon, I do not think that I can fail. In the cage I thinki only about catching my opponent, because I'm the Eagle.
"Fight with McGregor? Thanks to his boxing skills Conor will have chances in the first minutes. But what will he do, if I'm not going to exchange? Will I fight him? I'm in excellent conditions. Now it's my time. And I do not think about Conor, he needs to return and defend title," Nurmagomedov said.
