German veteran of mixed martial arts Bjorn Schmiedeberg due to health problems was forced to withdraw from the WWFC 9 tournament at the last moment, in the main event of which he was about to meet heavyweight champion Sergei Spivak. This was reported by a Ukrainian fighter in one of the social networks.

"I hasten to inform all of you that my fight has been withdrawn from the tournament. My rival fell ill, this is what I learned today. For all the will of God, I wish him best, because he is the same person as I am. I do not think about him nothing bad! When you train hard, your immunity starts to drop and it's very difficult not to get sick in the last days. For this fight I was very well prepared and I trained hard, and I'm very upset that it all happened, but, as I said, everything is God's will," Spivak wrote.

The fight show WWFC 9 will be held today, December 14, in Kiev. The beginning is at 18:30 local time.
