Olympic silver medalist lightweight Denys Berinchyk (7-0, 4 KO's) says that Guillermo Rigondeaux (17-0, 11 KOs) would have a chance in a fight against Vasily Lomachenko (9-1, 7 KOs) only in case if the Ukrainian was not ready for the fight.
"Rigondeaux‘s age is already pressing him. He is well developed physically and tactically, but he is not resistant to blows to the chin. He knows what the canvas is. He rises in weight, and Vasily is well prepared. If Lomachenko was badly trained or not ready, then Rigondeaux would have had a chance.
“Lomachenko makes enormous trainings, and other athletes from other sports would not stand them. They would drive themselves into a dump and for six months they could not get out of there, being in stress and injuries. I think there will be a beautiful boxing, they are two great boxers, who drives spectators from around the world to their fight. It will be a battle better than Paquiao vs Mayweather or Golovkin against Alvarez," said Berinchyk about his former teammate.
