Andrew Karlov Nov. 17, 2017, 6:22 a.m.

Ukrainian lightweight prospect Denys Berinchyk (7-0, 4 KOs) and WBO European featherweight champion Oleg Manlynovsky (21-0, 5 KOs) got opponents for the boxing event at the Ice Arena of the SEC "Terminal" in Brovary, Ukraine on December 16th. Berinchyk will meet Allan "El Matador" Vallespin (11-1, 8 KOs) for the vacant WBO Oriental lightweight title. Manlynovsky (21-0, 5 KOs) will defend his WBO European featherweight belt against David Berna (13-1, 12 KOs) from Hungary.

Berinchyk and Manlynovsky are currently training at the Olympic base in Koncha-Zaspa near Kiev, Ukraine, under the leadership of the coaches Sergey Vatamanyuk and Stanislav Grigoruk respectively.

"I am very glad that I got the opportunity to conquer a new peak in my career. I am grateful to my company K2 Promotions for such a chance and my team, which together with me for three years does everything to achieve the tops in boxing. Concerning my opponent. It is worth to remember such famous Philippine boxers as Nonito Donaire and Manny Pacquiao. They had to go the hard way to conquer the world ring. Perhaps my current rival, like his compatriots, has the same ambitions. I'm sure that this fight will be interesting. I will try to win by knockout," said Berinchyk.

"Preparation is good, I feel great. Conditioning is at the final stage, the next stage of preparation will be in Bukovel in the mountings. Looking at the rival's record, I can say that he is a tough guy, so I need to be 100% ready for the fight," Manlynovsky said.

"With great pleasure and joy we announce the event on December 16. We all missed out on intriguing and entertaining fights. As I promised earlier Denis Berinchyk will fight for his first in a career title by the end of the year. In case of victory he will enter the top 10 of the world rankings. This will be another serious step on the way to the world title! Picking up the opponent for Denis, we were guided only by one thing - that he had to be able to really test our boxer and demonstrate to us and the fans who Denis really is! Therefore I expect not a chess game but a bloody mess from this fight!"said the general director of K2 Promotions Ukraine Alexander Krassyuk.

Former world title challenger Max Bursak and welterweight Mishiko Beselia also will be on the card.

The broadcast of the main card of the evening will traditionally take place on the Ukrainian Inter TV channel.
