Wilder destroys Stiverne in 1

Andrew Karlov Nov. 5, 2017, 12:03 a.m.

In the main event of the boxing evening in New York, WBC heavyweight champion Deontey Wilder (39-0, 38 KOs) scored a decisive KO victory in the first round over the official challenger for his title Bermein Stiverne (25-3-1, 21 KOs). In less than three minutes Stivern three times visited the floor.

Wilder and Steverne met at the beginning of 2015 and the victory then, only by a decision of the judges, was also celebrated by Deotney. Stivern was the only opponent in Wilder's professional record, which he could not stopped.

After the fight, Wilder has traditionally stated that his goal was to combine division and to fight other champions - Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker.

Initially, Wilder had to fight Luis Ortiz, but their meeting broke because of the positive doping test of the Cuban.
