Vitali Klitschko: Briedis was one of the most difficult sparring partners in my camp

Former world heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko says he enjoys watching World Boxing Super Series (WBSS) and also evaluated the chances of WBO cruiserweight champion Alexander Usyk (13-0, 11 KOs) in a fight against WBC champion Mairis Briedis (24-0, 18 KOs).

"WBSS Tournament? Yes, I watched the fights of Usyk and Briedis. And I'll continue to watch this tournament. But you cannot run ahead of time. If Usyk realizes his speed and work from distance, then he has every chance to win. But I can say that Briedis was one of the most difficult sparring partners in my camp. He is fast, come forward fighter, who knows how to hold a blow. And he can punch himself, and really hard I should say!"

Usyk vs Briedis fight will be the semifinal of the WBSS tournament and will happen next January 2018. The fight can take place in Kiev, Riga or Berlin.
