Eubank Jr. chops Yildirim down in the third

Chris Eubank, Jr. (26-1, 20 KOs) won via spectacular knockout in the third round over previously undefeated Avni Yildirim (16-1, 10 KOs) and reached the semi-finals of the World Boxing Super Series in the super middleweight division.

In the first round Eubank’s right uppercut bent Yildirim’s knees, and the referee counted him a knockdown. Later the advantage of Eubank increased. At the beginning of the third round Eubank imposed Yildirim a long attack with his hooks, which ended with a perfect left to the jaw and Yildirim collapsed to the canvas. At this point, the representative of the Yildirim corner was already rising in the ring, and the referee waved it off without opening a count.
