The Russian MMA fighter Habib Nurmagomedov is currently not ready for a fight with American Tony Ferguson. This opinion was expressed by the head of the UFC Dana White, whose words in his Twitter sited journalist Brett Okamoto.
On Tuesday, the head of the UFC announced that Ferguson will fight Kevin Lee for the interim UFC lightweight title at the UFC 216 tournament. A day earlier, Nurmagomedov said that he had already fully recovered from his recent injury and could fight Ferguson in November.
"Habib had an operation, he's not ready yet [for a fight with Ferguson]," White said. "The fight between Ferguson and Lee will take place on October 7 in Las Vegas."
