Super featherweight world champion Vasyl Lomachenko shared his impressions of the stoppage victory over Colombian Miguel Marriaga on August 5 in the USA, and also shared his plans for his future career.

"Marriaga actually turned out to be a boring boxer in the ring. If I did everything according to the instructions I had I would not miss a single blow, and didn’t cut an eyebrow. I could do it, - said Lomachenko. - I could fight without risk, just on his mistakes, but then, I think it would be a bit boring in the ring and for the fans. I had to act, I had to make an interesting fight out of this boring encounter."

"This time the refusal of an opponent did not upset me, because I really felt sorry for him. He did not answer, he did nothing, only run. Plus in the last round I worked very hard on his body. When I watched the video before giving up he was sitting in the corner and twisted with pain, maybe I even hurt some rib."

"It's good that it ended, both for him and me. After all, I, too, had a cut, it is unknown how it would go, maybe I would once again miss a punch somehow, with his head or hand - it does not matter, it's boxing. Therefore, only because of the cut, it was good that he refused," Lomachenko added.
