Undefeated Gennady Golovkin made heavy weather of his mandatory challenger Danny Jacobs. There's certainly cause for a rematch with Jacobs as Mayweather feels similar in that Golovkin could have put on more of a show than he did at Madison Square Garden.

"'GGG' he can punch, he’s a good puncher. But I may need to train Danny Jacobs because Danny Jacobs he could have got the job done a lot better," Floyd Mayweather told. "I could have shown him how to get the job done a lot better. But Danny Jacobs put of a hell of a fight. He’s a hell of a fighter. 'GGG' is a hell of a fighter. It was a good matchup."

On his own future and capabilities to defeat Golovkin, Mayweather reiterated he will only fight for a 50th time against one man, whilst dismissing the middleweight king as a force in the sport despite some publications naming the 34 year-old as the new pound for pound number one.

"I came out of retirement for one fighter, and that's Conor McGregor. But if I was still active in the fight game, ya'll already know. I don't have to tell the fans what I would do (to Golovkin)," he said. "I'd put the work in on that boy. To me, it's all about the big money fights.. who is he?"

Mayweather has now wrapped up his whirlwind UK Undefeated Tour and is back in the United States as red tape surrounding his cross-codes bout with McGregor continues to hold up an announcement.
