Pereira explained why repeating Jones' achievement is impossible

Alex Pereira, UFC light heavyweight champion, believes that at the moment it is unrealistic to equal Jon Jones in the number of belt defenses. Alex also added that it is impossible to repeat this achievement due to the fact that the sport has become more competitive.

"I'm excited about what I'm doing for the welterweight division. But to be realistic, it's almost unrealistic today to equal Jon Jones or Anderson Silva in terms of title defenses. The sport has become very competitive. Also, multiple defenses don't always make people happy, it makes the fighter happy. An example is Adesanya.
