Steve Erceg, No. 10 in the UFC's flyweight rankings, has spoken out about the upcoming championship fight. In particular, the Australian explained why the promotion decided to give him a title shot.
"I'm new to the promotion, but my first fight was against a top-10 guy, plus I fought Alessandro Costa and knocked out Matt Schnell. Obviously, the UFC liked my style and my story. And I'm always happy to go out there and find out who's the toughest guy here," Middle Easy quotes Erceg as saying.
Recall, his next fight Erceg will be held against UFC lightweight champion Alexander Pantoja. This confrontation will take place on May 4 as part of the tournament UFC 301.
